Cars and US 20
US 20 is rich with automobile history. New York State has been home to more than 100 auto manufacturers over the years, including the world famous Pierce-Arrow. Northern Indiana was home to automotive legends Studebaker, Duesenberg, Auburn and Cord. One of the museums on the route has an Elmore, a car from Clyde, OH where we are doing an event.
Lynn has been a "car guy" since his youth. His family owned a Ford dealership for many years and his interest in cars of all types stayed with him. His favorite era for "classic" cars is 1925 to 1970 and the museums along US 20 have an abundance of them.
We will visit some of the great museums along US 20 to view these treasures from the past and learn more about the history of the automobile and its effects on our society.
Our blog and Facebook page will share a few details of each museum visit. We will have additional photos and info available thru this website.
