The Cazenovia Public Library has been serving the community since 1886. It has grown from one room to 12,000 square feet. Our library is unique because it also has a small museum, an art collection and an extensive local history archive. The museum houses a variety of artifacts but the most popular is an Egyptian mummy named Hen who arrived in 1894. The library hosts hundreds of programs each year for all ages. We also have a Family Literacy "outpost" at our local food pantry. Recently, the library was named "Library of the Year" by the Central Library Resources Council. The award was based on nominations sent in by community members.
